WHO ARE YOU? An Interactive Calligraphy Performance.
Presenting images from an Interactive Performance that I began doing in 2018,
first at The Mothership in Woodstock, and then in 2019 in Tatamagouche,
Nova Scotia, other performances were scheduled before the Covid pandemic
short circuited any possibility. These performances are interactive.
All audience members are offered bamboo sticks and a few other instruments
to play. The group is given some time to 'rehearse' together prior to my entrance.
A person is also chosen to read the introduction as written to explain a bit about
what I am doing and to give some history and background to calligraphic
performance. I begin with a voice/sound construct. There is a Q & A afterward.
People seem to enjoy it and especially since they get to be included. The
performance structure is fluid and continues to change.
